This is what I'm thinking of adding to my bike collection: A 2009 Specialized Ruby Pro SRAM.And maybe one of these. I'm still a bit ambivalent about track, all things considered. But I can always get the frame and sell it later if I decide that the velodrome is not in the cards for me this year.

your links aren't working... specialized website doesn't really let you link to products for some reason.
Hmmm..they work for me in Firefox. That's odd. I'll try to fix them later. The track frame is the Specialized S-Works.
No offense to the good folks at the big S, but that bike is by no means a race bike. Avoid it.
why?
Rake and trail, for starters. If you're really going to throw down that kind of coin, why not get a bike made for you, or at least by someone who knows race bikes? Specialized created those things to fill a marketing niche, not to create race bikes for ladies. How 'bout a custom Co-Motion Ristretto? Or IF?
If IF or Co-Motion were to sponsor my team and give me a huge discount on a bike...maybe that would make sense.
So until I marry rich or win the lottery, I take the team deal.
